Questions owners actually ask.

01How is this different from Google Drive or a Notion database?
You could absolutely use Drive or Notion. Some people do. The difference: PropPad does the sorting for you. You forward a bill, we extract the supplier, amount, and date automatically. Categorise it. Pull deductible items into a tax summary. Watch for the next renewal. Google Drive stores files. PropPad understands them.
02Is my data safe?
Your documents are stored in Supabase (Sydney region), encrypted at rest and in transit, with access only to your account. We don't sell data, don't share with third parties, and don't train AI on your records. You can export everything as a ZIP at any time and delete your account whenever you want.
03What if PropPad shuts down?
Fair question. Your data exports as a ZIP - files in original format, plus a CSV of all the extracted metadata. Nothing is locked in proprietary formats. If we shut down, you get an email, 60 days notice, and a one-click export. The records you've built still belong to you.
04Do I have to forward every email?
No. You forward what you want recorded. Most owners forward bills, statements, tradies' invoices, warranties, and anything from the council, insurer, or strata. About 1-2 emails a week from a typical home. You can also upload PDFs directly or take phone photos of paper receipts.
05What about multiple properties?
Each property has its own inbox address. The free plan supports one property. Plus supports up to five (covers most investors). For larger portfolios, contact us.
06I'm thinking of selling. Can I just use PropPad for listing?
